What’s on near Indigo?

We’ve tried to list some of the best of our local events on this page. If you want to hear some world class music, compete in an endurance event or just wander around feasting on local food, you might want to plan your stay at Indigo to coincide with any of the events listed below.

Four Winds

One of our top picks for festivals in Australia would have to be Four Winds, and it is hard to believe it is less than 5 minutes down the road from Indigo. At the heart of Four Winds is a truly world class festival of music and performing arts, held at Easter. The venue is stunning, having an outdoor floating stage surrounded by spotted gums and overlooked by a grassy amphitheatre, and a new indoor pavilion with state of the art acoustics. With the new pavilion, year round performances comprising of anything from solo pianists to classical quartets to puppetry now happen in addition to the festival. See their website for more details.

Sculpture on the edge

Walk amongst the collection of over 50 large sculptures from both leading and new Australian sculptors placed atop the Bermagui Headland and Foreshore – A glorious location where you might also see whales in season. We like to think is like Sculpture by the Sea without the crowds. Smaller works are exhibited at the Bermagui Community Centre. See the Sculpture on the Edge website for more details.

Relationship Workshops at Indigo Retreat

Relationship workshops at Indigo Retreat offer you the opportunity to get away from the pressures of home or work as a couple and give you real time to focus on your relationship. Led by therapists highly trained in Sue Johnson’s acclaimed Emotionally Focused Therapy For Couples, the workshops are small group lecture style, with no sharing of private problems. You are also shown video footage of other couples struggling through similar issues, with careful explanation provided of how to get unstuck in cycles of conflict and disconnection.

The entire focus of the workshop is to help you both find a way to reconnect and be emotionally and physically close again. You have time to work through carefully thought out exercises on your own as a couple at beautiful private places around the property, with relationship counsellors on hand to guide you. You can go as deep into the exercises as you want and when you need a break go for a walk on beautiful Murrah Beach or go and sit by the fire.
